The times they are a changing. When my Dad said get ONE JOB and stick with it the rest of your life, he had not envisioned the changes in our world economy. As job market becomes more unstable, people are turnig in mass for an online home based business. Also sales are much higher online than in front street stores.
In these uncertain times, when jobs are not what they used to be and certainly are not secure, more and more people are looking to have some type of home based business to make money online. When the information age came it changed everything. Everyone has a home personal PC and from the youngest child to our Baby Boomer Seniors all are using PCs for knowledge, to purchase product and service and for communication around the world. Do a Google Search for skills needed for online work.
There are lots of tips for success when you start to make money online. It is important to take your time and do your homework of research. First thought is, are you really ready to be your own employer? Think about it. On first glance it sounds wonderful, oh the freedom of it all. But in reality you will have to be dedicated and work often harder for yourself than you ever did for an employer. The rewards are greater and I like the freedom to make my own choices. But even freedom has a price.
It would be wise to get your personal finances in order before jumping into a business. Over the years the majority of those going into business because they desperately needed money and were on the verge of collapse, well, they didn’t make it. Part was they didn’t have the needed capital to work long enough to get the business brining in enough income and so it collapsed in on its self. To make money online in home based business is no different. It takes capital to get any business running, and you are investing in yourself. Also is seems like people can just feel the desperation one has when everything rides on making a sale. Learn to work out of passion and not desperation.
Pick an area to work in that you really have a lot of interest in. Not just interest, something you can be passionate about. That is a wide open arena when looking to make money online as every type of home business in this era requires a web presence. Computer skills are like our grandparents learning the ABC’s. If you are new to computers don’t let that hold you back. You learned to drive a car and you can learn to work with a computer. There are many courses, help through local colleges, even the local teenager or grandchild can teach you what you need. There are also highly qualified programs on the internet BUT beware and watch for scam artists, there are those always ready to take you for a ride.
The passion you have for YOUR online home based business will carry you through the hard times of start up, the learning curve and all that comes with being your own best and best employee. You can make money with an online home based business!

Home Based Business – The American Dream

I certainly did. In 1974 I worked in the hospitals, had two children, comuted o
ff of an island, 2 hr trip each way. Of couse would wake my sleepy little ones and send them off for someone else to raise. Finally one day as I looked into their eyes and how I felt, I said enough is enough. I'm going to have a home business. At the time I had no idea where that would lead me in life. Its been an adventure and I'm grateful that I made the choice.
Being in an online home based business for one’s own self is part of the American dream. Each man and woman has the ability to work and with dedication, consistent effort, continuing education and choosing wisely what type of business they begin; they have the chance for real success. We are a county built on the backs of the ‘little’ guy. The regular person and often family enterprises are the foundation of this country. We come from many nations and tribes; each bringing our strong desire to care for our families and be strong in our communities. People have for years been working with a home businee.
The days of brick and mortar business are slowly dying out. More and more people are purchasing products and services via the internet. More people are getting tired of being tied to an unsecure future while holding a job. The realization that we need to look for multiple streams of income and residual income for our retirement years is here. Jobs; working for the ‘MAN’ no longer offers the security our grandfathers experienced.
Doing a simple Google Search on trends for internet sales brought up hundreds of reports. These two are a good examples.
Internet Retail Sales Growth Accelerates in home business.
Internet sales growth gained some momentum in the second quarter, increasing by 7.2% from the first quarter to a total of $21.1 billion. In the first quarter, sales increased by a more modest 6% from the previous quarter. This represents a 26% gain in sales from one year ago, compared to a 23% gain during the first quarter. Internet sales have grown by more than 20% on a year-ago basis in every quarter since the start of 2002....

NEW YORK – Online spending is expected to rise a robust 17 percent this year, despite a sluggish economy that has bruised many brick-based retailers, according to an annual survey to be released today.
Retail sales online, excluding travel purchases, are set to grow to $204 billion in 2008 from $174.5 billion last year, fueled by sales of apparel, computers and autos, according to a survey conducted by Internet analysis firm Forrester Research for Shop.org Security, the online arm of the National Retail Federation trade group. That projection is below the 21 percent increase seen in the prior year, but industry officials attribute it to the maturing of the business, not the slow economy.
E-commerce “is clearly the bright spot in retailing,” said Scott Silverman, executive director of Shop.org Security. So home business is here to stay.
It is clear to see that what we have been hearing and sensing about the growth in internet sales of goods, service and information is in fact documented.
